Default CEL P1529 =[

Well just got a CEL while redlining to freeway speed on the freeway this weekend. Got home ran the scanner and got a p1259 code which means some kind of Vtec Malfunction.

So when I got the code the Rev DID not get cut off at 6k rpm but felt no Vtec power. So I got home checked my oil level and it turned out fine. Checked for loose plugs and everything seems ok. I am going to try to take out the vtec solenoid and clean it to see if that helps. Just wondering if it may be some other things beside the vtec solenoid.

Oh yeah when I read the freeze data on the scanner it said the error occured at 5.789rpm. Dunno if that helps or not.

2001 AP1 66k miles stock everything under the hood.

Man I just replaced the clutch few weeks ago and now this hopefully it is something minor.

Well just played with the wiring on the solenoid and the plugs. So far no more problems.
