I appreciate if anyone can assist me with this.

I got the following on my 2006 s2k:

P0141 6 - 5 --------------- Secondary Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Sensor 2)
P0420 6 - 7 --------------- Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold

Mods:

Berk Decat
Toda Exhaust
Spoon Headers
PWJDM Intake

I installed an O2 spacer today from ebay hoping to get rid of the CEL but it didn't work.

Searched everywhere and everyone says something different.

Any help is very appreciated!

Maybe you need a new o2?

the 06+ are very sensitive to changes on the O2 sensor. adding spacers rarely work on the late model cars.

i would suggest buying the hondata flashpro and getting it tuned.
your mods will definitely benefit from a good tune.

@Slowcrash, I have one on the way. Hopefully it sorts the CEL out. I am assuming since 2 codes popped up, it should definitely be a bad 02 sensor at the cat. We'll see.

@Seanix, yes my car is due for a tune, badly! Not many good ones around here so I am being very patient with this. Hopefully I find someone soon. If the new o2 doesn't fix this then I will only be left with what you suggest I guess.

Decat means you have removed your catalyst converter? which explains P0420 6 - 7 --------------- Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold. This comes when you don't have cat. I have this too lol

However, P0141 6 - 5 --------------- Secondary Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Sensor 2) means your oxygen sensor has been damaged.

Update in case someone has this problem in the future.

The spacer did work. My issue was that the o2 sensor was not plugged in properly after we installed the spacer. The wire was hanging when we lifted the car to install an aftermarket one. Plugged right back in and the CEL went away.

CEL came on the other day for a couple of hours after about a month of driving. It went away now. I guess I am going to have to live with it popping up every now and then.
