The crank case breather, and PCV valve will prevent any oil dipstick popping events from happening by the way

This is exactly what happened to me. First it started to idle funny. Then, the pump went out, then it started misfiring. (don't know if they were related). I traced my misfire problem to the plugs backing out. I could not duplicate the pump problem after the plugs were retorqued.

I had a CEL on and it turned out the air pump was bad.
I replaced the airpump and the CEL went away.

if I go to a AEM computer for a turbo do I even need this air pump? I guess what I mean is will I get a CEL?

You won't get a check engine light with an AEM but you won't be able to pass emissions with an AEM depending on where you live. If I remember correctly you had issues with a p0411 a little while ago did you get it to go away? I still haven't gotten mine to go away and I've literally done everything there is to do aside from using a different ecu.
