Default CEL, Limp mode.

last night i got in my car after work, I noticed a CEL. drove the car to a local gas station. the car wouldn't rev past 3k. Filled up my tank, but after starting up again the CEL was still on by i was able to rev my car freely....

this morning I reset my battery like a dumbass to clear the CEL. the car runs like a champ in fact it has never run better.

so now im just waiting for the CEL to come back on so i can scan it.

but what i wanna know guys is what the heck would cause it to go into limp mode like that? something pretty serious?

thanks
-Nate

If you really are a "blown" AP1, then maybe a misfire.

I'd check that your spark plugs are tight.

And maybe check your A/F ratios.

You really need the DTC before diagnosing anything.

if you blink repeatedly while looking at the MIL, it'll look like a flashing MIL.
in this case, DONT DRIVE YOUR CAR. IT"LL BLOW UP!!

Get the code and stop guessing.. It could be a bunch of things. My crystal ball isn't good enough to predict the problem.
