CEL LIGHT ON AFTER CAI INSTALL?

Default CEL LIGHT ON AFTER CAI INSTALL?

I jus put in an injen cai and the check engine light came on, is there something wrong? or does this usually happen? should I be worried and take it to Honda? Sorry I'm a noob to my car still. Please don't flame me if you find this a stupid question.

check to make sure you connected all of the sensors and vaccum lines properly

You probably mixed up the vacuum lines.

Take the car to autozone and they will pull the code for free. Then post the code someone will be able to tell you what it means.

Immediately after a CAI installation, I doubt it's really necessary to have the code pulled. It's pretty good chance the installation wasn't done correctly.

Is it normal for the car to run a tiny bit slower in the lower rpms, like there's less power? But it pulls harder in the mid to high rpms, harder than before the cai was installed and the vtec is alot louder. Is that one sight that the install was done properly?

You cannot use your "butt dyno" when you do mods. Anytime you put something new on your car, your perception of how it runs will change. Don't use this as a yardstick by which you can measure how well a mod went.
