Exclamation CEL Code - 6 long flashes? - Resolved

In trying to resolve my steering issues I have inadvertently caused another. I am getting a CEL now. I reset it and it comes back every 3-5 cold starts. I did take the airbox & intake piping out when checking the rack. I noticed a black box under the airbox with a broken off nipple that would accept a vacuum hose which I have free and ready to be plugged in. I checked 2 or 3 times and couldn't find anything else that I might have left unplugged. What is the little black box under the airbox and would getting a vacuum to the broken nipple solve my little problem? I still hear the air pump come on so I know its still functional. Also the car runs and drives as it should...

Another small note I did remove Cruise system while I was in there...

thanks again guys.

Thanks for your help it was vacuum hose... I thought the nipple had broken off but that wasn't even the spot... lol

^^ All good

I got the air pump code and it went away on its own. Wierd but Im glad. The pump is expensive and there is no bypass module for USDM models.

Try this out: Blink Codes

6-0 looks like the coolant sensor. Make sure you didn't knock it loose while working on the rack.

No its not

If the vac line from the black box is disconnected, you will get a P0411. It controls the air pump valve on the back of the intake. you gotta hook it back up. Get a vac box thy are cheap.
