Default CEL came on again?!

About a month ago the check engine light came on and it wasn't due to the gas cap being loose. So i took it to honda world(dealership near me) to check out whats wrong with it. Six hours later I got a call saying that my values were clogged and they needed to be flushed. The service was done there for a low low price fo only 600 dollars. Now that a month as passed the light came on again last night. I just have a sinking feeling that if I it there again, i'll just have to flush something else or what not that will cost me another 600 bux. Any advice on what I should do?

-sincerely

What the heck is a CLOGGED VALUE? And why would it take $600.00 to "flush" it?

Yep, 600 bux to flush my values because changing my oil at 5k miles is bad for the s2000. I read throught this forums and what I thought was recommended was to change the oil every 5k-7k miles. According to the tech at Honda World this is bad and I should be changing it every 3k miles. This error on my fault caused the injectors to be clogged and my values. So what they had to do was flush my fuel system, oil system and whatever else there was that costed me 600. I have the paper work at home so I'll post up exactly what it is that they did.

I think they screwed you. First of all, "VALVES" don't get "clogged". They might get some deposits but this has not been a known problem. Changing oil at a 5K miles interval is realling not that bad for this car, although 3K miles is recommended for "severe" service.
Next, injectors on this car don't "clog" up very often. There aren't many reports of this happening. Even if they are clogged in the worst possible way, a $50.00 fuel rail flush is all you would need.

Get the code and post it here and we'll be able to tell you what might be the problem. I think your dealer GOT YOU GOOD!

AHAHAHAH! A clogged valve!

Sorry, I had to laugh.

Yeah, get that code and we'll help you.

I could call Honda World and play with the service manager if you'd like.

What's getting "flushed" here is your money. The CEL is trying to tell you something. Listen to it.

Do you have a "Better Business Bureau" or "Consumer and Corporate Affairs" in your state? I have a feeling that once you figure out what the real problem is, you're going to need some sort of agency and legal action to get your 600 bucks back.

BTW, if I come to your city next summer, I'll flush your valves for 1/2 that price and I'll make you feel like you got a bargain. And you'll swear your car is running so much better, too.
