Default CEL after starting car with MAF sensor unplugged

so after cleaning my engine bay and working on a few things, i started my car, forgetting that i had left the mass airflow sensor unplugged. the car started, sputtered and died, so i checked the bay, plugged it back in  and the car started right up, except this time with a CEL. is there any way to clear this? or will it go away on its own?

thanks

I believe you will need a scanner to clear the code.

Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for 5-10 minutes and reconnect it, if you don't have access to a scanner. If you are starting it cold after reconnecting let it warm up till you hear the fans kick on so the ecu re-calibrates and the light should be gone. Don't go to a state inspection without driving it for a few days because all the emission monitors were reset and they will have to run again.

Thanks... Make sure you have your radio code available as well. That will have to be re-entered.
