Default CEL 90, EPS 23 Searched with no luck.

Hey guys I've searched for a good 2 hours trying to find some posts about these two codes and I can't seem to find anyone with the same issue.

2003 - K&N Intake - stock header - 70mm test pipe and exhaust are the only mods, it recently passed emissions, 3 weeks ago.

Last night I was on the highway and the check engine light came on. I got home and checked and it's code 90 (9 long flashes) and it's also throwing code 23 for EPS. The car is acting perfectly fine so I'm a little stunned at where to start to try to figure this out.

I did find one thing that said code 90 is Evaporative Emission Control System Leak detected in the fuel tank area. Can someone expand on this? Does this have to do with the fuel cap or is the actual fuel lines near the gas tank?

I also found one thing that said EPS code 23 is a problem with the circuit for engine speed signal. Anyone have an issue like this before?

I hate re-posting dumb things that have already been discussed a million times and have been on Honda boards for 15 years so if someone could show me how to search better I would greatly appreciate it because I feel like someone has to have posted about this before but when you type in cel 90, code 90, check engine light code 90, eps 23, eps code 23 etc etc nothing comes up.

Thanks for the replies in advance!

Depends which 90 you're talking about one relates to a P1456 and a P1457, 57 can be caused by the gas cap, 1456 is canister leak. In your case the rear driver's side wheel speed sensor would most likely be affected, or it could be some resistance in the wiring from the WSS, to the EPS unit. Do you smell fuel?

The EPS isn't on while driving normally I just noticed it blinking 23 when checking the cel. The car does stink a little bit because it doesn't have a cat but other than that I do not smell any fuel at all. I'm going to drive it to O Reilly tonight and find out if its P1456 or P1457. I did put gas in it on Saturday and only tightened the cap one click. Thanks for the help!
