CEL!
Ok, Ive been reading about misfire codes and such in the forums on here and none seem to be the same as what im experiencing. I am new to the s2k and everything so I dont know a whole lot about my baby just yet.
When i first got the car, the previous owner said the engine light came on for the first time since he had owned it. He said it came on, then turned off for a couple days, then came back on after driving it.
This continued on till even after i bought it. After about a month the light stayed on when I started it up and continued to stay on for another couple of weeks. Now when i start the car to let it warm up and such....the light comes on then starts to flash for about 30 seconds. It stops flashing when i start to drive it but stays on. When i slow down and stop at a light or something it starts to flash again.
It has been doing this for a couple of weeks now. The car runs and sounds good. I have an intake and exhaust. I did take it to the local autozone to check it out. He said it was misfire codes in the first cylinder. He never gave me the exact codes but said it sounded like it was time for a tune up. Any ideas???? Thanks!!

1. Get the code.
2. [QUOTE=The Check Engine Light Thread]If it is blinking continuously, STOP and DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR!! A flashing CEL can be indicative of something catastrophic going on, and continued use of the engine or driving the car could exacerbate the problem and make the costs to repair it grow into a HUGE amount!

I'd baby it. Like it says in the quote "driving the car could exacerbate the problem and make the costs to repair it grow into a HUGE amount! "
