CEL?!
Sup guys, my car threw a CEL the other day and it shortyl went away after, then 3 days later which was yesterday it came back. I got the code pulled today and it said NO SIGNAL TO KNOCK SENSOR. We checked the connections and everything seemed fine. My mech. said its most likely that the knock sensor went bad and ill need a new one. Has anyone else had this problem from the knock sensor? Also does a CEL affect performance at all?

if the problem went away, and then came back it could also be a bad wire in your harness.
I know on b series engine a knock sensor code would put your car in safe mode and limit your rpms to something like 3000.

I'd say so. You need to use an extension to access the upper starter bolt, and it goes through right where the knock sensor is. They could have pried against it while snapping the bolt loose or tightening it.
