Is a catch can a good inexpensive mod?

I know AP1's lose oil, like most honda's. but a quart a day is excessive. there is something wrong. you would notice if you lost 1 qrt of oil through the PCV. It would burn and youd have a huge cloud of smoke. But this wont happen in regular daily driving. Hopefully Billman chimes in.

eek.. one post he says 1qt/1k, and in another 1qt/day. Losing 1qt/day under regular use points to a massive leak, or you'd be blowing tons of smoke I'd think.

I'm pretty sure he was talking 1qt per day at the track not driving on the hwy lol

154,000 mi on my engine, doesnt burn a drop of oil from what i can tell, i use a catch can, but nothing is ever in it. I just use it for show

Ok I missed that. Though I could see a qt a day if you were tracking it.

he also says he just picked it up and hasnt tracked it yet or autocrossed.

Oh crap haha, sorry for any confusion, I meant a quart every 1k. I have no clue why I typed a day, yeah I would be concerned with that!!

In any case wouldn't a simple compression test like I did be a strong indicator of any issues?
