Cat converter to exhaust gasket?

Uhh, not true. Autozone can get it. I've gotten it through them before.

Stock exhaust has a groove with a compression steel o-ring in it from the factory...in theory its a one-time use part like a head gasket.

If you want guaranteed leak proof forever, just make sure both surfaces are cleaned flat, and use high temp silicone.
