Guys I am not trying to start an argument, but I know that Honda is a partial synthetic. the reason that I know this is because I worked for Honda of America in the Portland, Oregon location for 5 years. Trust me, I know how the honda oil is made. And you guys are right, as long as you change your oil regularly it isn't a real factor in the performance. Unless you start to think about how often you start your car, at what tempature your vehicle operates, and what type of driving you do. But it doesn't matter what I think, run what you know, and what works best for you. The most important thing is to remember to change it often.
A. Honda oil is rebadged mobil drive clean. this is not a synthetic or even a partial synthetic blend. Tests have been done to prove this.

B. For honda to use a synthetic or blend would be going AGAINST what they tell all their customers, considering the fact that honda says NOT to use synthetic before 7500 miles.

Mobil Drive Clean 5000 is conventional oil, Drive Clean 7500 is synthetic blend oil. Which one is Honda oil ? Mobil Drive Clean 5000 was sold at Honda dealers as Honda oil few years ago, what is Honda dealers selling now ? rebadged newer and more expensive Drive Clean 7500 or the same Drive Clean 5000 ?

Caleb23Burns has some valid points:
As long as you change your oil regularly it isn't a real factor in the performance. But what is "regularly" ?
Unless you start to think about how often you start your car, at what tempature your vehicle operates, and what type of driving you do.

I would use conventional oil for OCI of 6 months or 7500 miles whichever is first if my driving condition is not servere , fully synthetic oil for OCI of 1 year or 10k miles whichever is first, regardless of driving condition.

i agree with TR-S2k completely.

and to my knowledge it's mobil drive clean 5000. i believe some tests were done (by road rage or another tribologist) that showed that mobil drive clean 5000 and honda OEM oil were the same thing.
