Default Carbon Fiber Coil Cover

I recently purchased a Carbon Fiber Coil Cover and installed it. I got to thinking about it and I'm a little worried the thing will melt. So far I've driven a few days w/o any problems but are there any known risks of using one of these?

You should have no worries.
Carbon can handle the heat from under the hood.

It bends quite a bit if it's thin. If you get a one layer sheet of CF it bends like a piece of paper (almost). Get a few more layers on it and it's stiff as all hell. But burn--never heard of that. I've even tried to catch it on fire with an open flame and haven't had any luck.

They make brake rotors out of CF. I think these get just a wee bit hot?

Ok good. The reason I was wondering is mine appeared to bend down in spots after about 50 miles of highway driving. I took it off and checked it out and it's fine for now. Thanx guys!

Thin pieces of CF like this can tend to flex and warp with heat. This does not mean it's going to melt.
