Default Carbon composite propshafts

Hi Guys,

Just wondered if anyone has any experience of carbon composite propshafts?

I have spoken to a company in the UK who manufacture them for motorsport and top level Aftermarket and they seem quite interesting.

They have no hard data demonstrating the performance increase but with a 40% mass saving this has got to make some difference? I suppose the main thing is you are reducing rotational inertia which means the engine can rev more freely hence giving better pickup and acceleration. They quoted me 1100 quid which seems steep but if it makes a difference then might be worth it?

Also saw a news story on their website of an S2000 they are sponsoring that runs in the nurburgring 24hr, looks pretty sweet!
