This problem has happened several times, and the dealer has checked the car as well without finding anything. Problem comes and goes away. Last time it occured was about 8 months ago.
The car simply won't start, key in ignition, battery is good, when you press the start button, you hear the things power up, just engine won't turn over. Now if the car is rolled back and forth, after a while it will start. Last night, same problem. out of frustration, I pushed the clutch in, ran the shifter through all 6 gears and tried starting again. Car started right up. Anyone have any ideas? suggestions?
Thanks,
Fed.

It clicks, and then dash dims like it is about to start, and you hear the solenoid start buzzing like it is getting power, but the starter doesn't budge. The starter and the electrical system have been checked and tested several times as well.

My Civic did that and all i did was tap the starter solenoid with a metal pipe to losen the contacts within and it starts right up after a few hits. Also found out the power source on the terminal were dirty and loose. As far as shifting it thru all gears and it starts after is a new one to me, i'd check the clutch switch first @ the clutch pedal to see if its stuck. The F20's are kinda new to me, so PRO's, dont bash on me plez.

Dash lights dimming sounds like a weak battery. See how low the battery voltage drops when starter button is engaged. Or possibly a short is diverting the current flow to ground instead of the starter motor windings. Check electrical connections at starter relay and solenoid.
I once had a starter motor develop a flat spot on the rotor commutator area. Most times the rotor comes to a stop somewhere safe. But every once in a while the flat spot would land straight down at 6 o'clock and short out the windings. Then the starter wouldn't work.

Sound like the starter is not getting full voltage.
Battery, or connection.
Use a set of jumper cables and ground the negative battery terminal to the block. see if the problem goes away.
