car wont turn off
Hi noob here, well have been a member for a while but didnt own an s2000 till now. This is my first post and i hope i am not breaking any rules. Advanced apologies if i am.
I have a 2001 uk s2000 and when the switch on the drivers side for electric window lock is on and you try to turn the car off it wont go off even when the key is out.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

You probably won't get much help without us knowing whether the wiring has been tampered with or even a picture of how things are wired up. That being said it sounds like there's a jump from the ignition barrel to that switch which keeps the car running even after you have closed the circuit. Still have no idea how that might happen though.

Thanks for the replies. The car is totally standard. When I bought it, it had been stood for a while and the roof was ripped.
it came with one key and no fob for alarm/unlocking doors.
I am wondering if water got in somewhere and causing the problem.
Sometimes the headlight washers will just randomly squirt water.

The car will start no problem regardless of position of switch. It would have been good if it worked in the opposite way, so you couldnt start it without switch being in a certain position.
