Default Car won't start.. NEED HELP!

So I removed the engine to get the engine bay painted. After it was all done, i put the motor back in and hooked everything back where it was. I changed the fluids and also changed the serpentine belt. Tried starting it up and it cranks but won't fire. it sometimes fires up for like 2 seconds and then dies. other times it starts up for even longer and it just bounces in between 3000rpm to 3500rpm and dies again. I'm not sure whats wrong with the car or why it won't sometimes start up. NEED HELP PLEASE!!!

Start with the easiest things and go around and check that everything is plugged in, clips, and plugs. Also check fuses, relays if you can. All grounds, although if it fires up I'd assume grounds are connected. Did anything damage when putting the motor back in?

I didn't see anything damaged. When the car fires up and dies, you could here a clicking sound in the dash multiple times. I've tried finding other posts about the problem and some say it may be the immobilizer messing up and not recognizing the key? Not sure.

I'll have to check the one on the back of the head when I get home. I believe there are two grounds that connect on the side of the block? I'm not too sure if I got those right or not. Would it be go to the starter or the fuse box on the driver side? The grounds are taped together like a cross.

Well fixed the problem. The ground on the back of the head wasn't tight and the map and tps sensor was switched. Now the car runs fine but it's in limp mode and won't go passed 3k. Any ideas what the issue would be?

reset the ecu after you fixed the ground and switched the sensors?

I've reset my ecu and it continues to still be in limp mode. Would bad gas be a cause for it to do so? Just wondering.
