Default Car won't start but not battery?

This morning when I hopped into my car and put the keys in, everything was normal. The radio turned on to the song I left on last. As soon as the beeping was done, and time to turn the car on; the radio stopped playing and "code" displayed on the radio. Also the car wouldn't start like the battery was dead. As it is trying to turn over all the lights were syncronied blinking w the engine struggling to start, as if my battery was dead. I turned on my headlights to check if it was the battery but all lights were working fine. Including my interior lights. What could it be?? I can't figure it out and i need my car for work. Thank you in advance.

Loose battery terminal. If you can turn them by hand, they are loose.

Loosen the nuts, very loose, then twist and push the terminals down as far as they will go. This lowers them on the taper of the battey terminals and ensures better clamping force.

Now once they are all the way down, tighten them. Make sure they cannot twist loose by hand.

Most people find this battery to be crap in the size needed for the S2K (51).

Generic Autozone or whatever of the correct size. I have heard bad things about the Optimas so no way would I pay the premium for one.

So i have yet bought a battery but cold start ups are really really rough and my exhaust makes a puttering noise. Would this be doing damage to the motor?
