Would you like to explain more details about the symptoms?
Does it crank?
Would it seems to turn on?
Does it bogs or sputter?
As said above, the ability to start the engine is the amperage (A) of the battery, also referred as cranking amps.
What did you use to jump start your car? did you connect the cables as shown on the user manual?

12.9 is low. Try charging it, or letting the jumpers set on there for a few minutes. If your car sat too long in really cold weather, it may have killed the battery permanently. Your symptoms are classic dead battery.

12.9 seems pretty charged up to me, when the cars running its going to be higher due to alternator..
Is teh car getting spark?
can you hear the fuel pump prime up when you turn on the key before you start it?
