car wont power on with new battery?

car wont power on with new battery?
the battery i had was dead so i tried to jump it and the horn kept coming on! so my friend took out the horn relay and tried to jump again but no power at all... so i went out and bought a new battery and still wont power on no lights no nothing..... i checked all the fuses but everything seems to be fine... no corrosion or anything... anyone have any ideas?

It's embarrassing...but I've had the EXACT same thing happen. The poles were reversed. You put the neg to pos.
The main fuse is blown. You will need to replace it and hope nothing was fried.
BTW...I think they set up the horn to blow when that happens as a clue that you've done something wrong.

if the 100a fuse is blow.. the horn would not work.. but your lights dont work.. so you might have blown a fuse..
the horn deal sounds like you have an alarm installed. if it is factory or aftermarket..
this is what you should do... reinstall horn relay.. hook the battery back up.. let it beep.. hit disarm on your remote and it should disable the horn/alarm. now you can start the car

I already have my the horn relay in but i dont get any power whatsoever not even lights... with the new battery..... I dont know what it could be?everything seems fine only have 20 thousand miles i have no corrosion ...

Check the fuses in the fuse box next to the battery.
