You should be able to adjust the rod under the dash (not the stop) and get freeplay. No matter what. If you can't than you are doing something wrong.

You could pm me ur number.....

I can pm you my number but this is what i am doing to adjust the free play:

NO matter how I adjust it, the PRESSURE in the master cylinder has no free play. I tried it in 10 different settings.

Ok...you should be able to achieve two freeplays...one will be a trace of play in the rod itself. The other will be in the master itself.

If you cannot get the master to show freeplay, its possible It is sticking. That would be very uncommon.

You think i should put my old master cylinder back in to check if i can at least move the car again.. ?

The reason i changed the master was because I couldnt shift gears some times and the engagement point of the clutch was nearly a few cm off the floor... (there was too much play in the master.. i wouldn't feel pressure in my pedal until i push the pedal at least 2 inches (which to me was too much and this wouldnt engage my clutch all the way so it grinded sometimes)..

so i thought my master had issues.. I replaced it and then shifting was perfect the entire day until my way back home from work.. I do remember adjusting the rod to almost the furthest way out of the bolt because i thought I DIDN'T WANT free-play, but i guess that messed it all up?

Looks like you were right davidh99

So I took my transmission off this weekend.. took me 4 hours to do but worth it..

Here is the problem check out what one side of the clutch looks like:

CLUTCH IS ONLY 5 months old - I dont abuse my car either - Side facing the pressure plate

Here is what the other side looks like - side facing the flywheel (ALMOST NEW HUH?)

So now im scratching my head wondering what the hell happened?? or how this happened..

yea sucks to see that but your situation was the same as mine. I just hope that my new one doesent burn out fast because of something else. I did replace the master and the slave cylinder so i hope that helps keep it from burning out so fast
