Default Car sways back and forth when cornering to the left...

The past few months this has been getting progressively worse. I finally am trying to do something about it...

It only seems to do it on the highway on bends to the left - I'm guessing due to higher speeds. Almost feels like my car is dancing back and forth in the lane.

My tires were starting to wear and I needed new ones. I dropped the cash on them with no luck on the fix. I assumed this wasn't the problem, but I needed new rubber anyway. Next I got a front end alignment. The mechanic told me that the car wasn't out of alignment too bad. This seemed to cut down a little on the swaying but definitely did not fix the issue. Had a few people tell me it may be the shocks and struts. Any thoughts? If so, any replacement I should look at? I want something good, but don't want to spend money on top of the line equipment if there is a mid level manufacturer that makes a worthy product.

My car is due for inspection next month. Plan on dropping an exhaust from the headers back, front and rear sway bars and and possibly shocks/struts if needed. So far my S is stock other than the AEM V2 cold air intake I put on. If I'm going the wrong route here, please let me know. My end goal is a small turbo and some suspension work. I've always been a Mustang guy and never really did suspension work. It was power, power, power there. Thanks in advance!

Does this happen on all road surfaces, or just one turn in particular that you drive often?

Please list your alignment specs after your new tire install. Your comments above make me think you might not have gotten a good enough alignment (or any at all), especially rear camber. Were you sitting in the car during the alignment?

If its the back end that is acting loose, why did you just get a front-end alignment? Go get the rear inspected and get a four-wheel alignment. It could also be a blown damper, so look for any signs of oil leak on the exterior, as well as any loose bolts on the suspension components.

A bad s2k strut is extremely rare.

FIRST thing I would do is get a 4 wheel alignment, and make sure the guy doing it knows how to tighten a bolt (the ones you use to adjust the alignment).

I can't tell you how many alignments I had to fix because someone didn't know how to tighten a bolt.

If after you get your 4 wheel alignment done correctly and it still does it, I recommend the Koni Yellows on Swift springs as replacements, cheaper than stock and far better than stock IMHO.

A blown damper could be the cause. I would definitely look in that direction.
