SAme thing happens to me just about every other day since it's been cold out. I think my ecu is retarded

I experience the noise at least 2-3 times a week currently (temp. around 5 deg. in the A.M.)...... I just bought my car certified pre-owned w/ a brand new battery. I would not recommend a new battery, but if you're unsure have it checked out at autozone for free.

Just go test it for free before you go buy anything you don't need.

yeah i had the same thing happen.if you hold the clutch down for about 10-15 seconds the car should stay on

if you can get the car started in the first place, the battery is fine. If it were bad, you've never get it to turn over.

Once the engine turns over, the battery is useless, as the alternator then runs the show.

I don't know much about s2k's yet, but I'd go with what folks are saying regarding the ECU thing.

That said, it certainly can't hurt to check your battery
