So, if you can put the tranny into gear, engage the clutch (release the pedal), and don't give any gas.. it won't stall? Sounds like your clutch is tooooooooooooooooooooooooooast

Otherwise it sounds like your clutch The disc is either so worn that it won't engage now (did the car drive normally last time you drove it? no slipping?) or I guess it's possible for for the mechanism to be stuck in the disengaged position.
THIS sounds more likely... a clutch just doesn't die. You're always going to have indicators to failure on a daily driver.

How did it drive the day before? The week before? Need more info before...

If it slipped the last time you drove it, it's been slipping for a while. Get a new clutch.

Same thing is happening with my 2003 h0nda s2000. I went away for a month came back to dead battery.. Got it started put the car in gear and it just spins the tires... Its parked in gravel and it just digging a whole... It idol rough... B4 i went away i had the plugs changed but not the coils.. It was running siper rough and like not much power..didnt barely move in reverse.. Plugs xhanged made a huge diff but not totally..today i couldn't get it to move... It did dtall out if i gave it lots of gad .

What could it be?

I'm a female and don't like mechanics..they always try to soak me. I learn a lot from yoy guys

Sounds like clutch. I'd go with OEM stuff.

Good luck!

My head hurt reading that, probably fuel related. Did you leave the tank near empty on your trip? If not fuel pump, then clogged injectors. A lot of us are mechanics.

Just a general comment, but when someone starts such a "mystery problem" thread, it would be helpful to the community if they would follow-up by posting some sort of conclusion post with what the cause and solution was. Just saying.........

I've caught myself more than once typing a reply to a post only to see that it is very old. I always have to check.
