Update: 4/25/2007
OK, so I disconnected my battery and took it to my local AutoZone and Pepboys and had the battery load tested. Both places told me that the volts and the amps are good. I asked if it was a bit low and they said it was like new.

So I didn't drive my S2000 today to work. I connected my battery back and started the car with no problem. The temperature now (6:30pm) is about 75 degrees.

I'll try starting it tomorrow morning and see if it struggles again.

Does anyone know what else I can check? I am pretty positive it is not my starter or alternator as I have no problems starting the car during lunch time or after work.

This is really frustrating me. Thanks for everyone's response.

and by the way the Cold Crank Amp (CCA) is at 500 which is what is required for our S's. Battery only 22 months old now.

Maybe the voltage regulator on the alterntor is starting to go, and is not fully charging the battery? Maybe you have an electrical short of some kind? At this point, thats all I can think of.

Maybe you just had a slightly loose connection that is now corrected since you removed and replaced the battery..

the nice thing about fuel injection is there is a separate part to control mixture for many different states that the car is in.
If the car is not starting cold there's a cold start circuit just for that which may be giving you trouble . starting later in the day when the motor is warm or not stone cold might not use the cold start system(usually a valve, electrically controlled, seperate injector) The battery could be wearing down because the motor isn't starting right away.
It is a small battery. You might want to pull some codes from the FI system.

I have the same problem.... But a cold start for me is like under 45 degree's other wise no problem... i would honestly say its just because its been siting over night in the cold or just because it hasnt been cranked. Just me 2 cents though.
