i went to honda and tried to get this PN 37250-PNE-G01 through some googling i thought that was it. but then she told me that does not apply to the S2000, and listed every other damn car w/ VTEC on it. so she did say one that was for my car, but they didnt have it. and wanted like 70$ for it..


is the PN im looking for correct? or anyone have the right one? do i need to replace just the solenoid, or the whole unit?

well i believe the part i am lookin for is 37250-PCX-A02 and replacing that should help things. then i have to do an idle relearn?

anyone familiar with this or any help?

i cant imagine that no one has had this go wrong....

i replaced said part today. and the problem still exists. it says rocker arm actuator A - bank 1 stuck on. i got the car to idle properly, and it can hold revs, all the way to 5500. but every now and then when revving down it makes a PINK, tick sound. if the VTEC is stuck on, i would imagine it being the intake side, cause when i blip the throttle, its very agressive. also sounds like its running on 2 cylinders. very weak. i can not figure this out

i need someone who has expierenced this before!

car cleaned up its idle. and now the 1399 is gone. car idles great. just runs bad when i give it gas, but i can hold any RPM and it sounds alright. maybe misfire here and there. kinda hard to tell. the mechanical sound the ting coming from the motor still baffles me...anyone?

i manually wired my solenoid switch to positive and could hear it clicking...seems to be working. i am not COMPLETELY confused as to whats wrong with my motor.

I would suggest you find someone LOCAL (to you) that knows our cars better than you and work with them to resolve the codes you have. At this point just changing out parts based on internet responses is going to get expensive fast..

i think im going to take it down to honda. after replacing the vtec solenoid switch, and then testing the solenoid and it works fine. yet this ping problem still exists. it appears its above me! so yup. taking it to a higher knowledge. i wasted enough time and money doing it myself. i hope its a quick fix for them. im scared something more mechanically is wrong tho
