Default car sometimes won't idle

Does anyone else have this problem? Let me explain what happens. Car normally runs fine. Coldstart runs fine, normally runs great each and every day. Sometimes after WOT the car will then refuse to idle. It will just die and idle is 0 RPM. Not very fun as you have to heal and toe just to stop and keep it from stalling and then the problem will just magically clear up. Any ideas of what this is? It has done it intermittently ever since I owned it (10 years and 80K miles)

I take it that you have had diagnostics (onboard diagnostics) run on the car, and they are ok?

Edit: Saw this thread on the IAC valve. Have you had this checked out?

I find that cleaning the TB and the IACV solves most idle problems.

Let me try cleaning some stuff up. The car has no check engine lights and seems to function perfectly except for every once a while when it refuses to Idle.

Be sure to look for the billman instructions for cleaning the iacv. There is sime disassembly involved, and some specific things you need to do.
