How often? Everytime you hit VTEC? Or just initially? White smoke? Blue? Black?

Reason I'm asking is because if I don't hit VTEC in abit, and jus punch it I get white smoke as well.. quite a bit.. from running rich... but after that its pretty much cleared until the next time.

Well it is pretty constant, it used to be initially... not now its just the whole time in VTEC. Once I noticed the issue it usually only did it on the lower gears and if I VTEC'd while on the highway it wouldnt smoke as bad or at all. Now it doesnt really matter, I might try to VTEC in 4th and see what happens tonight, although Im sure its gonna really smoke since Ive not VTEC'd in almost a month

Eh, I haven't really ran it during the day in awhile. But from what I recall its a grey color. FWIW, I know Im not losing antifreeze b/c coolant level hasnt dropped any. I will VTEC it tomorrow OTW to work so I can give a more positive answer.

F20kills, so whatd you end up having to do to remedy the problem?
I put in a new shortblock from hardtopguy Great guy too!
My bumper was covered in black soot all the time as well.

I did the un-install and install myself which saved me tons of money.
If you have any clue on how to work on a car you can pull your head and check the walls like I did.

Well, I VTEC'd it OTW to work and the smoke appeared to be white/ grayish. It isn't half as noticeable during the day as it is as night but you can still see it barely.

F20kills, my bumper gets covered in black soot but it has done that since I've owned it 70k miles ago. I also noticed you said your car bogs like crazy at low rpm, mine doesn't do that... actually it still runs fine aside from the smoke. I know how to do alot of things to my car, I wouldnt mind pulling the head to look at the walls though. My gut feeling is telling me the walls are fine, but I wanna know for sure.

Just to let you know, my new motor will let out a puff of smoke when I gun it. It eats zero oil as well! Maybe you might just have the common oil consumption problem like many other have here.
My first motor ate oil too but ran fine until the walls were scored.
