car slips out of gear

Thumbs up car slips out of gear

i was drivin down the road doin about 35 in 4th and it popped out of gear i thought it might have done it because i didnt put it fully in gear but it did it again the other day same situation the car has about 70,000 miles on it the clutch doesnt slip or anything the car still acclerates hard and everything just wonderin if this isnt a prelude to something serious.

Known problem (may even be a TSB) that Honda fixed under warranty for many of us. It did require replacement of one gearset and shaft so it is not an easy fix. I've not heard there are any follow-on problems or related damage, it is just irritating and could be a problem in a driving situation when you need power and it is not available.

What fluid are you using in your transmission? Switching from Honda to Pentosynth fixed my 5th gear popout problem.
