car shuts off while driving
Here is the deal, about 3 nights ago I was driving home and I had my headlights on(DUH). About half way home my headlights turn off, well I'm on a pitch black road so I pull over stop the car and my car completely turns off without me taking out the key. Right before my car shut off my EPS light, my ABS light turned on and the gauge cluster started flickering, like it would be the alternator. So I get a jump and the car starts fine then I book it home a 1/8 of a mile to my house the car dies again, I get a jump again and pull in my garage.
Next day I take the alternator off and I go get it tested, It FAILS so I buy a new one and install it and I THINK thats the end of my problem well it does it again the very next day. I took the battery off and charged it and it still does it.
I am turbo charged and my ground wire to the battery has a small burn from the wastegate dump pipe. I also checked all of the fuses motor and under the driver seat and none of those were blown. Could it be my battery, or maybe just the cable. One member actually suggested its my o2 sensor, he didnt specify before cat or after cat, could that be it?
Thanks for reading all of this!

Have you put a voltmeter on the car to see if the alternator is charging the battery? You may have a wiring issue. If the turbo has damaged your ground, it may have damaged others you can't see.
If the ground wire is damaged replace it anyway just to eliminate that as the problem.

When your car is turbocharged (which most of ours are not), and your car has electrical problems (which most of ours do not), then that would be the first place I would look. But electrical problems are tricky to diagnose, so good luck to you.
