Default Car runs like poop need help

Soooo today i was driving my 03 and the car was hesitating under light throttle. cruising at a constant speed the car was fine but if i gave it a little bit of gas it would bog down but if i gave it more gas it would go fine. Starting from a stop it was a total pain the car would jerk. After i turned it off and started it again it ran pretty bad and if i tried to accelerate it would bog down and now it is stuck in safe mode and wont rev over 3500. The check engine light came on but hasnt came back on since i turned it off. Could it be the map sensor? Any help or ideas of what could be wrong would be great thx guys.

Hesitating as in misfiring? common reasons I've seen are fuel pump/filter, bad spark plugs/coils. Try a map whack and see if that works. Strange with no CEL, try checking it next time it comes on. Is everything electronically sound? Same thing happened to me with the addition of electrical problems and it ended up being my positive wire from my battery, but if nothing electrical seems to be acting up you can throw that out.

You have a problem and you cleared the biggest help you coil get. The CEL.... Check plugs for fouling then move to coil packs. I'm not a huge fan of a MAP whack as a immediate measure. It's known to correct some problematic sensors, but if you sensor is fun why hit it and run the risk of damaging it?

its not like i could leave it running the whole time i got it towed some where with a scanner lol. I dont feel like its missing it doesnt feel like it as it idles fine and since it only runs bad when the car is warm. But tomorow i will borrow a scanner and try to get the cel back on.

There's a post somewhere explaining the misfire codes. I think it's a sticky in the "Under the hood" section.

Sounds alot like the problem in having but mine goes over 3500 fine. All of the rest of the things you said sound just like it. I have a horrible idle though and my car throws random misfire codes

i had the same problem. p1129. i think i just fixed it. theres no more cel. it was pending code p1129 yesterday..

this is how i fixed it:

-do map whack ( which u already done)
-get 2 zip tie. one go from front to back of the sensor. one go from bottom to top of the sensor. if that makes sense. you want your sensor to be as tight as possible in there. ORR u can go to honda and buy the map sensor "holder kit" for like 20 bucks..... looks like a zip tie lol....

try doing that. reset ur ecu by pulling out 7.5 fuse. under ur steering wheel. 3rd one to the right. theres a 7.5 on both side. so what i did was i pulled both hahaha.

go get a beer.

start the car- rev your car at 2800-3200 rpm. till the fan comes on. then let go. it should drop below 1000 rpm if it gets warm enough.

go for a test drive. you should be fine..

if that dont work. get a new map and repeat the steps =)

note: this only fix the p1129.

i still need to ride on my 1st gear to get the car moving. but gotten sooo used to it lol. but this should get rid of the LIMP* mode(cant go over 3500 rpm)
