Car pulls to right when braking

Smile Car pulls to right when braking

I had GC coilovers and Koni Yellows installed on my S last week. I had a four-wheel alignment done this afternoon. The car feels so much better now--doesn't pull either way when going in a straight line. However, now when I use the brakes it pulls to the right. I called the alignment shop and they said it has nothing to do with the alignment, and that it is related to the braking system and the calipers possibly hanging up. It wasn't pulling to the right (when braking) before the alignment, the car is ~3 months old so there shouldn't be any problems with the braking system.

What is going on here?

maybe you have uneven brake pad wear?

But you said it didn't do it before the alignment so I'd venture to say something messed up. But I'm no expert, wait for someone else to chime in

I'd think something like that too, except for it never happened before the alignment. The alignment shop states that the alignment has nothing to do with it, but I believe otherwise.

First, check the tire pressures. If those are OK, it's the alignment. It is not uncommon for lowered cars to be a bit more difficult (and sometimes impossible) to align right. Maybe the shop just did the best they could and called it quits and don't want to see you back again.

I doubt they have much experience with lowered S2000s. Are you saying it is more difficult to properly align a lowered S2000 then say a lowered Prelude?

I have no experience with Preludes, just from what I've seen posted here. But consider that a Prelude is FWD, the suspension can be considerably different to deal with during an alignment.

As Xviper said, check the tire pressure...that sounds like a good place to start.
