Default Car pulls only under acceleration...

My 2004 pulls left only when accelerating. The more I ask of it the worse the pull seems. Otherwise she tracks straight as an arrow while maintaining speed or while breaking. Where do I look??

Tire pressure, check the rear first.

Also check geometry.

If one rear wheel is running more camber or toe than the other you will get varying degrees of grip.

A good four wheel alignment transformed my car

Among checking tire pressure, camber and toe I would also check for tire wear, which may seem obvious, but many people dismiss uneven tire wear as insignificant where infact it can actually lead to misalignment and other problems.

isn't it kind of the opposite?

if you get the car properly aligned and the tires properly inflated then the tires will wear evenly?

not the other way around..

I agree. As others have stated, check your tire pressures (especially your rears). I have a very slow leak in my rear left and after a while when the air gets a tiny bit lower, acceleration will make the car pull significantly to the left (since the right-rear tire has better traction/contact).

When I bring the pressures back up correctly, it's perfect.

True.

I never said tires that are properly aligned with even tire pressures would develop uneven wear, but merely that IF uneven wearing does occur to not dismiss it so quickly. Uneven tires can make the drift/pull to the side problem worse over time. Thanks for clarifying my statement .
