If you are mechanically inclined a valve job is fairly easy to do there are plenty of articles written on this. If not then dealership is a piece of mine.

There you go. You have multiple codes. Not trying to be mr. know it all or anything but these things come with experience and hopefully in due time you'll get the hang of it too. If i were you, i would get a good mechanic or dealership to get the valve job done. I mean it's nothing hard to do but you want the job done right once and for all. If you know of any good mechanic who can do it for you just as good as the dealership then by all means go for it. Keep us updated with the progress of things.

I have heard of people having valve clearance issues but i never knew it could cause cylinder misfire.

Please someone chime in to confirm whether what i have just said is right or not

Popping on the exhaust side is usually an exhaust leak somewhere.

Since most ecu issues turn out to be a bad ground I'd clean up every ground you can find.

If you are looking for a code read the go to your local Autozone or other auto parts store, they will read the codes and tell you what they mean.

P0410 is airpump related. It shouldn't be related to misfiring...

P1399 is random misfire (this code alone is useless. you need the freeze frame data for it)

as for EGR...the s2000 doesn't have an EGR system

P0410 is secondary air injection...meaning, airpump. It's not your intake.

Got a valve adjusment today, it looked ok. @ valves were loose, also did a compression check 240, 245, 240, 250. The car still pops around when im idling. It does it alot when i first start up the car, but after drving it a while it doesnt do it as much, and when i apply a gas on the pedal it would shake the car forward and back almost like a misfire in low rpms 3k and under, But after that till 9k its smooth
