Default car magically won't start

ok,
so i took my car down for maintenance 2 weeks ago; i resealed my oil pan and retorqued my head studs etc. anyway, when i put it all back together, the damn thing wouldn't start. the plugs smell of fuel and the starter is fine, i found a few fraying harness wires going to the coilpacks so i switched out the harness with another, i checked all of the relevant fuses(i think), i tried new plugs and nothing. the only thing i can think of that may have caused some sort of problem was i accidentally completed the circuit with an extension when my battery was hooked up and it sparked. may have blown something out i guess. my next step was going to be to procure another set of coilpacks and see if that's the issue. any suggestions though?

voltmeter and if you have a battery charger use it. Good luck really hope it isn't anything with the wiring.

Check the relay. Another member had a similar problem and his relay was blown. Can't Remeber which one though.

Have you pulled the OBDII codes? Just a thought but it may give a clue. The mfg specific codes may give a clue.

You said the plugs smelled like fuel, did you try cranking without any plugs (and no fuel pump fuse) to shoot all the fuel out? I'm guessing it could be as simple as fuel flooded?

For starters check battery voltage.

Does the car crank and not start? Does it not even crank?
This will make it easier to help you out.

ok so i did pull the obdII codes via the blinking cel method and all i got was a code concerning the vtec solenoid. as far as cranking it with the fuel pump fuse pulled, i have a few times to ensure that the cylinder walls dont get fuel washed so i dont think that's it and i tried new plugs today after letting it sit over night. i think it may be the battery as i tested today trickle charging it to 100% and then attempting to recharge a few hours later and it had dropped down to around 85%. it's a walmart battery and i did let it sit for over a week before recharging it so i'll test a new battery in the morning and get back to you. also, anybody know what relay he's referring to? i checked the ignition fuse under the hood, the ignition coil fuse under the steering wheel and the ignition switch fuse also under the steering wheel. oh, and it is cranking. i bet it's the damn battery lol. i'll let you know.
