Default Car handling issues- driver or car?

Hey everyone

I seem to have a problem- im not sure if its just me the driver or if something is wrong with the car.

The car doesn't seem to handle well and always feels like the tires are about to break loose, sometimes understeer and sometimes oversteer. For example- I was running through some twisties with an RSX-S with just lowering springs and he was on my tail the whole time

My current set up is stock suspension, Work Emotions and
215/40/17 (yes I know it should be 215/45/17)
245/40/17
Falken Azenis ST115 with about 35psi in each tire

and the Euro alignment specs- it wasn't done at an alignment shop but just a regular mechanic.

I dont think it is just the tires alone because I know they are not near close to as good as stock, but they are known to be alright at autocrosses

The car was also in a minor accident where they had to replace the rotors, engine mounts, and a few body parts.

Thanks everyone

Bent suspension pieces?

Did the mech do a laser alignment? I would get that done at auto innovations first.

Otherwise they missed a few items from the incident.

Who said anything about an incident? It was an accident

Well, I know they had it on the rack to check the frame, not sure about the laser alignment though.

I am thinking I will try this soon along with going back to stock wheels and good tires

Incident indicates no fault from either party. Not here to judge

Check a-arms, lower control arms, and steering rack arms.

hehe just joking

and about the steering rack- I actually have heard a sort of grind when I turn the wheel- sounds kind of like rubbing. I was told it would be fine and just needed some oil (not from the mechanic, I just showed it to friends and my father)
