Car feels unstable on the high way at high speeds.
Sometimes when I get on the highway I feel the car is unstable, shifter vibrates, my passenger seat moves, it just feels weird; like if the tires werent unbalanced which is not the case. Has anyone experienced this before? Is there any solution for it?
The car normally does it from 65mph to almost 85mph. The shifter's vibration drives me insane.
Thanks in advance.

shifter vibration is normal.
does the car itself vibrate or the steering wheel vibrate?
dont forget this car is a stiff ride, so it's going to feel "rough" compared to say an accord or civic, etc.

How many miles are on your tires? Are you missing any weights off of your wheels? The vibration could be caused by a wheel(s) out of balance.
When you replace your tires, I recommend a wheel alignment.

could be one of the rear wheels is out of balance.
If the car feels unstable, are there lots of ruts in the road where you live? This car tramlines like crazy, but its normal.

I chased a 70 mph vibration in my MY 2000 car for several weeks. Your problem could be any of the following items:
1) Tires out of round
2) Wheels out of balance
3) Worn CV joints in the half-shafts
4) Drive shaft bent or out of balance
5) Loose subframe mounting bolts
6) Worn or loose wheel bearings
Obviously, start with the easiest items like the wheels and tires and work your way up the chain until you've solved the issue.
In my case, the dealer checked items 1,2,4, and 6 before solving the problem by replacing the half-shafts and tightening the rear sub-frame mounting bolts.
Since you're local, I'd be happy to drive your car to see if it is the same type of vibration that I experienced.
