Default Car Feels Like It Doesn't Have 100% of The Power

Hello everyone. I just got my car back from service and feel that the vehicle is trying to hard to move forward. When I am giving it gas, I feel that the car is chugging along; at maybe 80 or 90%. Although slight, I feel something is wrong. The only way to describe it is, I feel like the car is going but it is trying too hard. It is very similar to driving in a heavy wind storm and your car is fighting to go forward. I am not sure if this could be related to the belts; I have been told those need to be replaced at the next service. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone!

Do you have an aftermarket intake? It could be a very common problem with S2000's known as heat soak.

Drive the car at night and see if it feels the same.

Put a jack under your oil pan and jack the engine up.. I'd be willing to bet your engine mount below your exhaust manfold is broke in half. Hope this helps.

Subscribing. Mine is similar but I had a valve job (and retainers replaced) last summer and tracked wonderfully thereafter. Installed a Mugen exhaust and it feels choked above 8200rpms and then does the jerk/sputter thing when shifting up after redlining.

What service was performed? Did this happen before the service?

I do not recall if this happen before the service as I was away for a few weeks. The service was for:

Oil & Filter Change
New Rear Brakes & New Rear Rotors
New tires, mounted and balanced
