Car feels a bit sluggish suggestions

Old battery asks more charge from the alternator, alternator is a load on the engine, if the alternator is cranking out max output it's about a 1.5hp load, can make the car feel less peppy, especially at low rpm and off the line.

As Billman already stated multiple times, it is not the battery.

Valve lash out of specs can cause sluggishness and not trigger the check engine light. Have you had any type of maintenance performed within the last year? (Other than the spark plugs already mentioned)

I had my head rebuilt with an AP2 head at InlinePro of May this year. Haven't had any CELs since then

Rebuilt with all original honda parts right? Not aftermarket valvetrain that claim to be an upgrade but are no where near as reliable

Yes Everything was replaced with OEM AP2

if you're talking low end power, i'd replace with an OEM air box and filter, and not any aftermarket intake nor FIPK.
