Car and Driver OIL?!
I was at my local Auto Zone and guess what I see? Car and Driver oil?
I searched the internet and can't find proper info on it....anyone have any info on this oil.
I'm looking for any info on longevity testing, other lab tests, manufcaturer, etc.
It was quite a bit cheaper than the other dino oil alternatives and was reluctant to even pick up the bottle for that sole reason....as I walked out the store, I thought to myself, am I now becoming a victim of 'prestige' pricing?
TIA

Just regular motor oil packaged by some oil company.. in most of my cars I just buy based upon price, weight, and SAE rating, so I have used it. I figure it is no different than Walmart store brand or similar. In my performance cars I use synthetic but in the rest I use cheapest since it is changed regularly and I trust the SAE rating will insure an adequate formulation.

Chris,
You are using synthetic in your S2000? From some of your post in the past, I was convinced to switch from synth. back to regular oil...
Damn it! I've done regular oil changes (even non-regular, one was at 1000 miles after some 'fun' driving) and you have now caused me to save quite a bit of money over the two years that I've been using regular oil!
If my wife finds out that there is a way to save money on my driving/modding/maintenance habit, she will surely find a way to spend the saving at Tiffany's or other such femine store.
