Default Is car damaged (going to be)?

I got my S back yesterday...drove all the way from Savannah GA yesterday but it was nice weather so I had the top down the whole way ...but I didn't get back till 11 at night and parked in the wrong garage spot...next day I came out...and the CAR'S GONE!!

So the towing company was explaining this system of using "dollys" or something since it is not a flatbed style truck and they can't roll it...were they just f**king ( ) with me?? It seems to drive fine although now I have noticed when I have no music on that the clutch makes a tiny squeak every time I push it in.

I posted this in Mid-Atlantic and three people told me within 2 months after towing their diff went out!! I am freaking out now! It seems to drive ok other than the squeaky clutch. Has anyone else had any experience with this?

Their "dolly" system consists of them hooking up your car anyway possible and yanking it without regard for damage. It's all about being stealthy yet super fast when it comes to the towing game. Also as a disclamer, the towing company most likely has a warning that "they are not responisble for damages" posted in there office and in every truck.

Man, if they did drag it on the rear wheels it can't be good that the E-brake was on. Are there any ways to check out whether the transmission was damaged or anything?

they wouldnt tow it with the e brake on. they would gain access to the inside of the car and release the brake

I doubt your clutch squeak has anything to do with the car being towed. You probably haven't noticed it...but it's probably been getting louder over time. It happens when the grease escapes or is washed away from between the slave cylinder stud and the clutch release fork. Grease that motha with some high temp grease.

one would think they may also be kink enough to pop it out of gear at the same time...

If they towed it with the back end locked up you'd have one hell of a flatspot on the tires, it would be obvious.

Hmm....well they couldn't have/didn't as far as I am aware of get inside the car to release the e brake...and it was in neutral. What if they rolled it on the front wheels?

^^ You think so? It was only around 3-4 miles.

Yeah, perhaps I just didn't notice it before. I Googled it and found a lot of people said they just added some WD-40 or something and were able to get it to stop.

WD-40 is a temporary fix. I would just grease it with some thick...like...wheel bearing grease or something. Honda urea grease is the ideal...but it's expensive.
