Car cranks multiple times before fires up
Hey guys, Ill make this as short as possible,
So, my car just started taking a while to crank up. I did some research and didnt find much, but I thought I would try replacing the starter. Did that, didn't fix anything. My battery is fine, all lights work and its only a few months old.
I have gotten the constant blinking green key light on occasion, usually when it takes more then 10 cranks to start. I just hold the ignition until it starts.
2000 s2000, stock besides CAI, new starter, spark plugs, battery, intake filter, radiator, head/spark plug gaskets.
Any help would be greatly appreciated... really getting sick of hoping my car will start every day lol

I had this problem in my 2006 s2000. I replaced the spark plugs with the OEM ones. After replacing the plugs, I've only had this problem once. I don't have this problem anymore. When I talked to a Honda tech. He told me that it is the Spark Plugs that cause this problem. You might have something else going on with the car. Good luck!
Do you have any type of aftermarket stereo? Speakers? Subs?

When the green key light blinks, that means the immobilizer is not detecting the proper key and won't allow the fuel pump to run. The problem is not with your starter or your plugs. It's the immobilizer having a problem recognizing your key. Try your other key. If that does the same thing, then check the immobilizer. Start there.
