sounds like what happended to my old car. i threw a rod and the car would loose almost all power when it whent to the high cam. It was under warranty, had to get a new engine. However when just idling, it would still sound like a 10 year old lawn mower. and it was a nissan

well i did the map whack and i revved it up to 5,6,and 7k rpm and when i got to 7 it stuttered

try it again maybe atleast it went up from 5... but mine only did that when it was cold

i think i have the problem solved! it was my pcv valve i took it off and soaked it in brake cleaner and swooshed it around for a couple of minutes and put it back in and revved her up 2 9k and no hiccup...YAY!!! and i took her for a spin and no hesation. well i really wont get to really test her again cuz its rainin but it pulls

let us no how the test drive went whats the pcv valve and were is it located i have a similar problem but not as bad as yours by the sounds of things

I get an occassional hiccup/bog but the car runs strong. I don't know if its heat bog or what. I am very interested to hear how the test drive went too. Maybe this could be some of my problem.
