I'm fighting a different issue but my search of similar issues like yours came up with a restricted Catalytic converter, map sensor issues, and a clogged vtec solenoid screen...just some of the fixes I read about with simlilar issues to yours.... Also don't rule out a vacuum leak somewhere on the cold side (intake).

What do you mean by "bogging" out? What does the engine do at 6k? My ride doesn't kick in the VTEC until about 5.8k. I hope this is right...I have only had my ride for 2 weeks.

Is the car warm, or does it happens all the time?

I had the similar problems when cold starting and then accelerate some before it's properly warmed up..

now i never drive it hard before its 3digits on the temperature..

cars warmed up i just think i bent a valve cuz of the nite i drove her hard the next she is hesatating really bad. plus my car is bone stock. i revved her to 6.5k rpm and she died and i started her and she was idling really funny so i gave it some gas and she idles fine. but she would only operate fine under 5k rpm.......

The s2k definitely runs smoother when the Temp level gets up to 3 bars. Seems as if mine runs a little tight when anything below that. I like to make it a habit of not whipping on my VTEC until I see those 3 bars!

The ECU shouldn't let you hit vtec until you get 3 bars anyway.. driving hard before the engine, tranny, and diff are warmed up is retarded to begin with.
