As I was leaving for work this morning my car beeped at me this morning. Sounded like the seat belt reminder but I had my belt on the whole time. I had let the car idle in the garage for about 2 minutes, got in, backed out of the garage, and closed the garage door. Before I backed out the rest of the way my car started beeping at me as I started to roll backwards out of the driveway. I couldn't see anything on the dash blinking but the steering wheel was blocking my vision as I was turning out into the street. My seat belt was on the whole time. The e-brake was down.

I have left the maintenance required idiot light on for quite a while now (probably 1k+ mi) because I keep forgetting to reset it. Does this thing start to beep eventually if I leave it on for too long?

The only thing I've done to the car since the last time I started it was wash it. Exterior only.

The CEL won't make an audible "beep" sound, right?

BTW, it was 2 beeps at a time, and repeated about 3 or 4 times.
