This particular Accusump is 2 quarts. There are advantages and disadvantages to mounting it in the trunk. I'm quite comfortable with the location I've chosen.

Actually, since the gas tank is between the axles, the weight shift when burning gas is rather minimal

The only thing that concerns me about that accusump install is having a large reservoir of hot oil where it's not protected by the bumpers or body of the car in a street vehicle. Most of the accusumps I've seen are either in the trunk or in the passenger compartment (in race stripped vehicles).
As I have read in a few post back these things have been around for a long time. Most I have seen have been in very modified Pro street cars with Big blocks with BIG BUCKS in them. They are mounted between the seats and are hand/manual primed before engine starts. I would assume that any other local would require an electrical primer.
I think that the location you have chosen is cool. Besides if you have an ut"O" you would shut the engine down anyway.

There are a bunch of race-prepped S2K's out here that run them as well. It's necessary when pulling a lot of g's and potentially (actually proven to) running into oil starvation issues.

^ JP does that mean that they work well for the s2k
what oil pressure switch do you recommend?

fperra, which oil pressure switch did you choose?

The hooking of corners is a new thing for me I only new that it was to prime the engine before start to prevent engine failure in heavily moded engines. O did I say engine

Yep, they work fine on S2K's with grip levels found on RA1s for example. There's some debate though as to whether they're enough for a car on slicks running banked tracks, i.e., the full Roval at Cal Speedway for example. In that instance a dry-sump or at the very least a baffled oil pan would have to be brought to the party.

There's a live thread in R&C right now about the proper oil pressure valve to use. Since I never had an accusump installed on my own S2K, I can't answer that question with any real knowledge.
