Is this something that got progressively worse with time or did it just suddenly do it without any warning? How's your clutch fluid (level and condition)? How's your tranny fluid (level and condition)? Can you shift into the gears when the engine is off? Any other history or details you're leaving out?

It is very unlikely the tranny is low on oil unless it is leaking. On a MY03, it is unlikely. My guess is the clutch master cylinder. I cleaned my clutch master out earlier this evening with a turkey baster. I suck the fluid out and refill with new fluid. When I fill with new fluid, crap on the bottom rises to the top. I repeat this process 3-4 times until it is completely clean. My pedal feels a little bit firmer after this procedure. If you do this procedure, whatever you do, do NOT get brake fluid on your cars paint. The paint will come right off. Cover the fender with a towel and be extremely careful. I also put a bunch of paper towels around the clutch master cylinder. The clutch master sits kinda low in the engine compartment so be careful when you fill the master cylinder, the fluid can splatter. I poured some fresh brake fluid into a empty brake fluid container to make it easier to fill the master cylinder without spilling it. A funnel will also work. Again, don't spill brake fluid on your car.
Make sure you are pressing the clutch pedal ALL the way in. If this doesn't work, you will need to bleed the system. This should alleviate the problem, if not, there could be an issue inside the tranny.
Keep us updated.

Do like Racer indicated and see if this makes a difference. The fact that you are able to go from gear to gear when the engine is off might point towards a clutch that is not fully disengaging. At least, start with the clutch fluid.
To check the tranny fluid level, you need to get under the car and take off the fill bolt. Then you have to see of the fluid is to the level of the fill bolt hole when the car is level.
