a gun rated at 260 probably wont take it off since the tightening torque is 220? or so so breaking torque would be higher and unless the 260 gun is in tip top shape it wont do it. at our shop we use an ingersolrand Ti 1/2" gun and that puts out like 500 lbs of torque and that still takes like 3 seconds to get it loose.

IIRC the passenger and driver side axles are very slightly different lengths. I would not use one from the passenger side on the driver and vice versa.
Axles are different, yes. But the outer CV joints (aka, spindles, the bits that go through the hubs) are entirely identical.

I've never had one that couldn't be broken with a 6' cheater bar and a fat friend. I easily broke a nut torques to 220 lbs with a 4' cheater bar last weekend...

I don't see how you're not able to un-do it with an impact..

most bolts were loosened for me on even 15+ yr old cars rusted and all that shit..

I have a husky gun with 60gal comp though..
your compressor probably didnt support the gun enough.

just get a 1/2 or 3/4 like other said and go to town with a breaker bar.

if it's not coming off with a 5' breaker bar, something is most definitely bent.
